Image Price Finder is a Chrome extension that helps users find and compare product prices while browsing Google Images and Google Lens.
The extension processes product information visible on supported Google Images and Google Lens pages and may request linked merchant pages in order to detect and display product prices.
Wishlist items, interface language and extension preferences are stored locally in Chrome storage on the user's device. These locally stored items are not uploaded to our analytics server.
When a user clicks a merchant link through the extension, an anonymous analytics event is sent containing only the event type and merchant domain, for example: merchant_click and example.com.
We do not send the full product URL, product title, search query, Wishlist content, account identifier or persistent user identifier as part of this analytics event.
Analytics are used only to understand which merchant websites are visited through the extension and how often. Statistics are stored in aggregated form by date and merchant domain.
The extension may request merchant websites to detect product prices. Currency exchange-rate information may be requested from Frankfurter. When the user explicitly chooses the Translate & Search feature, the entered search phrase is sent to Google Translate for translation.
We do not intentionally collect names, email addresses, passwords, payment-card information, health information or precise location data through Image Price Finder.
We do not sell user data. We do not use collected data for personalized advertising, creditworthiness, lending decisions or purposes unrelated to the extension's stated functionality.
Merchant click analytics are retained as aggregated daily counts by merchant domain. No persistent user identifier is stored with these aggregated statistics.
Analytics are transmitted over HTTPS to our first-party analytics server.
